    Climb Kilimanjaro

Standing at 5895m Mt Kilimanjaro is one of the world's famous 7 Summits - the highest peak on the African continent. But unlike nearly all of the 7 Summits it is possible to climb Mount Kilimanjaro even if you have no technical expertise provided you are fit and have loads of determination.

Everything we can think of to help you plan your perfect trip to hike Mount Kilimanjaro can be found on our site and if there is anything else you would like to know please ask.

    Everest trek

The trek to Everest base camp at 5184m is one of the world's greatest long distance walks. From the moment you take off from Kathmandu to when you eventually walk into base camp the scenery, the culture and the people are totally captivating.

The sheer scale of the Himalaya is breathtaking and walking in the footsteps of Edmund Hillary will almost certainly be one of your lifelong memories. We are here to make that memory really special.

    Machu Picchu trek

On nearly every serious trekkers bucket list and one of the top 10 World Heritage sites, the trek to Machu Picchu combines wonderful mountain and jungle scenery with a fascinating journey through the homeland of the great Incan civlisation.

Although Machu Picchu is only at just over 2000m and can be reached in 4 days, the trek takes you over ridges that rise up to 4000m making this one of the toughest short treks we offer. For everything you need to plan your expedition speak to one of our advisers today.

Climb Kilimanjaro, hike in the Himalaya to Everest base camp or trek to Machu Picchu with Private Expeditions

Private Expeditions are high altitude trekking experts and specialise in trips to climb Kilimanjaro, trek to Everest base camp and trek to Machu Picchu.
Because we understand everything about high altitude trekking we can get you there safely and enjoyably.

What is really unique about us is that we operate all our own expeditions as we believe that, if you are trekking at high altitude with all the risks involved, you can only do this safely if every aspect of your trek is carefully controlled. We cannot do that if we sub-contract and someone else is operating the trek. You might think this is standard but as far as we are aware we are the ONLY western company operating high altitude treks who does not sub-contract a large part of their operation to a local land agent.

As the operator we are not only able to offer a more personal, professional and tailored experience than someone who is sub-contracting but we can ensure a consistent level of service and experience across all our destinations. Whether you want to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, hike Everest base camp in Nepal or trek to Machu Picchu in Peru you will find the same friendly and professional approach. And because you book with us direct you get all that and great value prices.

We know that for most of our customers this will be a trip of a lifetime. Time and time again we hear feedback from customers who say it was challenging but also life changing. Everyone at Private Expeditions has their own bucket list of treks and we take the responsibility for running your trek of a lifetime very seriously.

You are not just another customer, we take pride in being part of your personal adventure. Our sales team in the UK are experienced in all aspects of high altitude trekking and know all about Kilimanjaro treks, hiking in the Himalaya and about trekking around Machu Picchu and will do everything they can to help you plan the perfect climb or trek. And our operating teams in each country are well trained, well equipped and just as committed to ensure you really do have a life changing expedition.

So whether you want to organise a trip to climb Kilimanjaro for charity, want to trek to Everest base camp on your honeymoon or see in your 5oth birthday at Machu Picchu we are here to help organise a trip of a lifetime. And more than anything we love to talk to people about their trekking plans so if there is anything at all you are unsure of please do give us a call.
